Play Equipment

The equipment at Treasure Island Play Centre has been designed with your child’s safety in mind as well as the development of their imagination and fitness levels - and, of course, for FUN.

The main play equipment is designed in the style of a Pirate Ship. Slide down our 2 lane slide or down the Giant Snake, explore our pirate ship, hide from pirates and mermaids, hunt for treasure and dare you cross our rope bridge?  If you've still got the energy, why not try and complete some of the puzzles spread throughout the equipment.

An enclosed non-slip Football arena complete with balls, goal and targets is nestled at the back of the equipment, giving sportier children more than just play.

We also have a Ball Pool (for under 7's) and a Toddler and Babies Play area situated away from the main equipment.

The Pirate Ship is our Main piece of play equipment and you will see it as soon as you walk through reception as it fills one end of the Playcentre and stands as high as the roof.

There is a huge double "Bumpy" slide, a Giant Snake slide, a rope bridge, secret passages, cargo netting, countless cushioned obstacles, a zip slide, spiders webs, monkey bars, spinning jenny, and several puzzles to solve. With so many ways for your child to find their way around the Pirate Ship, no two visits are ever the same.

Safety is paramount at Treasure Island Play Centre so the Pirate Ship is built on a cushioned floor and the entire structure is padded. Everything above ground level is netted (all sides and on top) and we have an enviable safety record.

We encourage parents to help toddlers and younger children explore the equipment fully. Just remember to take your shoes off, we like to keep things clean around here!

For sporty children, we have a Football Arena situated towards the back of the Ball Pool and beneath our main Play frame.

Complete with Goal, targets and super soft footballs, this enclosed space has a non-slip padded floor and is big enough for a full soccer team to practice in (well, a child's soccer team anyway).

As you should expect, the enclosure's supporting structure is fully padded (as seen in the picture, right) as is the Goal's frame. Around the netted and solid (yet padded) walls of the arena are targets for budding Beckhams to practice their World Cup Winning free kicks.

There are several Balls within the arena, so whether everyone want's to play Beat the Keeper as a team, or they want to play by themselves, there is plenty for everyone in the Treasure Island Play Centre football arena.

Probably one of the greatest inventions mankind has ever bestowed upon Planet Earth, introducing: the Ball Pool!

As adults, we all wish we were still allowed to plunge into it's spherical depths and swim free amongst the balls. Alas, we are all too big and will crush the balls, not to mention any hidden children.

Accessed to the left of the main play frame, our ball pool backs onto the Footbal Arena and is dedicated to children under seven. As Ball Pools tend to bring out the inner monkey in children, this is the only area we prefer not to have the larger children in.

To get into the actual ball pool, children can use the soft steps through the curtains for a gentle dip, or they can climb the soft staircase to the Dizzy Heights* of the padded tumble slide for a tremendous splash down.

*By Dizzy Heights, we actually mean about 5 feet with a 45° incline either side. Very safe, but still fun.

For small children, and Babies, we provide you with a safe and engaging soft play area.

Everything is cushiony soft and colourful, with shapes, Soft brick stacks to build, mirrored wall and much more.

A low soft wall surrounds the Toddler and Baby area to prevent help Crawl aways, and it is positioned close enough to the Cafe tables and Sofa's for you to have a relaxing Coffee and a Muffin while your child plays happily and safely.

Treasure Island Play Centre is an excellent place for Mums (or Dads) to bring their pre-school children to meet and play with other pre-children.

You'll also get to socialise with other Mums (or Dads) who you might not meet at Toddler groups or Play School. Let's face it, when you have children, the first sacrifice is the Social life.

Nothing is more important to everyone at Treasure Island Play Centre than your children's safety.

Purpose built in 2005 the play equipment is accredited by the Play Providers Association and inspected annually by RoSPA.

Please take note of a few rules when your children are playing on the equipment to ensure that play time stays a safe time.

•   No Shoes on the Equipment
•   Socks Must be worn at all times
•   Remove all Jewellery and neck ties
•   We recommend long sleeves and long trousers/leggings are worn

Treasure Island is a Playcentre and not a child care centre. It is the Parent or Guardian's responsibility to supervise their own children and ensure reasonable behaviour whilst attending Treasure Island Play Centre either for day to day play or for parties. Treasure Island do not accept responsibility for your or your children's actions or omissions whilst attending our play centre.
